River was one of 35 dogs who came to the CASPCA in March 2019 from St. Croix. We walked another of the St. Croix dogs in the Bowwow walk that April. We met River at the Bowwow walk too, and just knew he was the dog for us. He is super affectionate, and gives lots of kisses to his people and cats. He's very social, and loves meeting other dogs and people. Can you guess what mix of breeds he is? We had his DNA tested and were surprised to find out that he's one quarter chow, one quarter American Stafford terrier, and a mix of companion, Asian and terrier breeds. We like to say that his breed is "Caribbean ranger."
