Pet's Story or Bio
Oscar chose me to take him home. I was volunteering in Row 1 at CASPCA when I noticed a new cat, who was the exact replica of a cat I’d had who had died a few months earlier. I checked his name and saw it was the same name as my cat who had died! The original Oscar was replaced by new Oscar!
But most importantly, as I was sitting in a chair in Row 1, Oscar jumped a good 4 feet from the window sill to my lap, and stayed for 20 minutes. He made it clear that I was his “person”, and he expected me to take him home.
He is now my watch cat. Where I go, he goes. He helps me prepare and eat my breakfast. He tells me when he’s hungry or thirsty, and waits in the bathroom while I shower. He has assisted me with sewing projects, with paying bills, and reading email. We have a very specific bedtime routine that starts at 10:30 with him staring at me to let me know it’s bedtime. He has to have his nightly snack and a thorough massage, and sleeps next to me. I never expected to be adored by a cat.
