Pet's Story or Bio
Jake, a German Shepherd mix, arrived on the SPCA van from Houston in May 2020, when he was five months old. Since we have two acres with 6 foot fences surrounding the house, and he would have plenty of running room, we were the perfect home for the new little guy. He was accepted immediately by our older girl, also a Shepherd mix, who was grieving over the loss of her companion. Jake has given his good pal Roxie a new lease on life (and frankly, my husband and I as well). Our kitty Eddie is his devoted pet. I'll admit, he was a handful at first! But he listens. Now at 70 pounds, Jake is a super smart, responsive, very organized and organizing boy. You only need to tell him something twice, and he gets it. And he is funny too, he talks and teases, and is smiling all of the time. He has adopted his mom (me) and follows me around everywhere, inside and outside the house. As you can see from the photo, he in charge of all of us. We are all so lucky to have our boy.
