Lulu (was Linda at the time..) appeared in my Facebook feed on Thanksgiving weekend of 2021 during a plea for fosters. In the video, she looked adorable crawling out of her cage happy to see the wonderful staff person taking the video. I fell in love immediately and was on my way to the shelter within an hour of seeing the video. She could barely walk as she would drag herself with her front paws and was in need of rehabilitation as she has herniated disks in her lower back. She continues to improve, walks well (albeit a bit wobbly), and gets the zoomies - runs! At 10+ years old, her main job is to clean the kitchen floor of crumbs, get pets, and hang out on the couch with her forever parents and rescue siblings. Over the last six months, her mischievous and funny personality continues to amaze me as she is a little trouble maker with a lot of curiosity. She will also demand pets when a hand gets close! As she was my first foster, she became my first fail.
