I was sitting in the waiting room of my eye doctors office. So, like any reasonable person, I pulled out my phone and went to look at the dogs at the shelter. I was scrolling, scrolling, scrolling until the sweetest eyes caught mine. Her name read “Kimber” and she had the most compelling look on her face. I felt a connection with her instantly. I fled from my appointment and called an adoptions coordinator as I was driving home. I knew I needed to bring this sweet girl home. Within an hour of getting off work, my boyfriend and I raced to the shelter before they closed. There came sweet little Kimber walking so gently out from the doors and our eyes met. I knew she was our lovebug right then. We adopted her within 10 minutes. Best decision of my life 💜 she had a hard time adjusting but has flourished into the best dog in the world. From some training, she can even walk off-leash ☺️
