Finnegan (previously named Francis) was likely feral when originally found. He was very fortunate to have been taken to the Charlottesville SPCA where he was soon placed with a wonderful foster "mom." Our cat had to be euthanized last year, and it was the first time in 37 years we had been cat-less. When I saw Finnegan's picture on the SPCA website, I just had to have him! However, since we had a vacation coming up , an adoption would, unfortunately, have to wait - fingers crossed that he would still be available when we returned home. We met Finnegan the day after we returned from vacation, completed the adoption paperwork the very next day, and brought him to his new forever home. Having domesticated more than a dozen feral kittens over the years, we knew we would need to do the same with Finnegan. In less than 2 weeks he had gone from a frightened little kitten to the most confident, happy, loving (and fearless!) little guy. He is an absolute joy! We can't thank the Charlottesville SPCA and the wonderful foster families enough for all they do to save these beautiful animals and to find them their forever homes!
