This litter of Shepherd mixes came into Castaway Critters 12/2007

These 3 siblings were each adopted separately. We were able to get in touch with our dogs siblings. From the time of adoption we decided to stay in touch and that we have!!

Kelli Hess Shenk was lucky enough to get the only male, Murphy.

Last year we got their picture taken with Santa.
Every time we get together we are sure to get lots of pics.
For example in the picture above we were trying to get each of them to sit still next to each other. Prior to the picture they were running around playing chasing each other and jumping in and out of a nearby creek. They were clearly not ready to slow down let alone stop long enough for us to take a couple pics.

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing them blossom from pups and into their senior years.

Each of our pups have “other“ siblings where they live. However the relationship with their blood siblings is much different. It sure seems like they’ve known each other all along. They got to see each other before their first birthday and many times since.

As a result of adopting our pups Mary Ann, Kelli and I have become very good friends and we plan on keeping it that way for a very long time.
