About Us

Cat Haven is a nonprofit animal rescue group whose mission is to lead Baton Rouge in becoming a no-kill community for cats and kittens by providing care, shelter, and adoption services, as well as advocating routine spaying and neutering for population control. In our 22 years of existence, we have saved the lives of almost 16,000 cats and kittens and spayed/neutered thousands more influencing our spay/neuter initiative. 

The Cat Haven Adoption Center houses around 100 cats and kittens at any given time and around 100 more are in the homes of our volunteer fosters.
