What's your purrmance story with your cat?
Was looking for a cat in 2002 and went to a few shelters and pet stores and met this little lady at the Humane Society. She was in a room full of cats and she was sneezing which caught my attention so I asked if I could hold her. I picked up this skinny little 8 month old weak and sick cat and we bonded instantly but my friend said to put her back and keep looking because she seemed so sick. The shelter said she had been caught after 3 weeks in the country in the freezing cold. I put her back then left to keep looking elsewhere but I could not get her out of my mind - I was stuck on her. I went back and took her. I hadn't realized how sick she really was. She would vomit and have the runs constantly and ended up back and forth to the vet about 20 times before she became stable. She was always cold so slept on my bald head for warmth. We really bonded and fell in love with her. She became diabetic for 6 months but went into remission. She has been and continues to be my best friend for 14 years now. I found my perfect companion and we understand each other. I wish she could stay with me forever.
