What's your purrmance story with your cat?
I first met Whiskey in 2009, when she was in the foster care system and described as "severely aggressive." That was an unfair designation, as she was only aggressive when someone went . . . near her. She and I spent most of those early days warily eyeing each other, wondering if the other was thinking about approaching. Thankfully, Whiskey slowly acclimated herself to my presence, and even began showing some affection - albeit rarely, very rarely, but sometimes! Over the last few years, our relationship has grown. She sleeps on the bed (quick to hiss and jump away should I shift positions), and excitedly meows and jumps around each day when I return from the office. She is the cutest cat in the world, and now not only on the outside.
