About Us

Our mission is to give as many cats as possible a second chance at a good life, especially those who are most vulnerable or abused, injured, have a disability or terminal illness, or are in need of medical care.

We are a no-kill care program and work hard to rehab and rehome as many cats as possible. We are very fortunate that many times we see cats go from scared garbage kitties to beautiful loving cats and we want them to find great homes quickly...so we don't get too attached!!!

SANCTUARY PROGRAMS - MISFITS CARE AND FERAL CARE
MISFITS CARE PROGRAM: This is our heart and soul. We have a Misfits Care Program that we only expect to continue to grow. Sometimes cats come into our care that cannot be rehomed. These cats still need medical care, food, beds, toys, and all of the things "healthier" or "more presentable" cats deserve in order to have the best quality of life for the remainder of their lives. Many of these babies need constant medical care, medications, emergency vet visits, etc. We do make the effort to get these cats adoptable, but sometimes we decide that they are better in a sanctuary.

FERAL CARE PROGRAM: We sometimes take in feral cats that remain feral after their care. Sometimes they need lifetime care anyway so we don't have the heart to send them back to the streets, fighting for survival while battling a chronic medical condition. Sometimes they just become too trusting and people reliant that it may be risky to return them to the streets. Those are what I call friendly ferals as a reminder that sometimes cat miracles do happen. Friendly Ferals are actually Former Ferals, if we get technical. They usually remain unpredictable at times so we do allow these babies a place to stay as adoption may still be too risky.

GENERAL CAT RESCUE
Yes, we do get some "normal" cats in as well that we want to adopt out, especially when we end up with a pregnant Queen. We don't take in non urgent or not special needs cases often, but we do on occasion and always have some up for adoption.
