Ahoy! We are Columbus Chess Academy, a nonprofit that transforms lives through chess!

Our mission is to provide quality chess experiences for K-12 students in central Ohio, especially for students in underserved areas. We host K-12 tournaments, offer a summer camp, hold free tournaments for beginners, and partner with schools and libraries around Franklin County to support and help establish scholastic chess programs and tournaments.

This year, our goal is to take 50 students to the National Chess Championships. This experience will give students the opportunity to compete against students from around the country and give them a goal to work towards this year.

Your donation will help us prepare our students by providing quality local tournaments, funding our coaching-in-schools program in over 20 Title I schools around Columbus, and giving students free chess lessons.
