The Furniture Bank of Central Ohio’s mission is to reduce the negative impacts of furniture poverty and other crises by providing essential furniture to local families in need. Furniture poverty is a major barrier to restabilization after homelessness, eviction, relocation, domestic violence, and other crises, negatively impacting physical and mental health, childhood development, school achievement, sense of personhood, and more.

By providing kitchen tables so families can share meals, safe, comfortable beds to sleep in, or a couch to bond with friends on game night, we aren't just providing furniture and removing a sizeable expense that's unreachable for many families -- we are also offering a critical resource and a sense of hope for the future.

Did you know it costs as much as $3,500 to furnish a home secondhand? By giving to the Furniture Bank, you can furnish an entire home for just $250.

Almost 1/3rd of Central Ohioans are experiencing some degree of furniture poverty, living without the essentials that many of us take for granted. By working together, we can alleviate furniture poverty for our neighbors in need.
