A little about this image...
In my recent trip to Jhandi which is a small village in the Kalimpong district of West Bengal, I saw dark rain clouds accumulating in the nearby hills and across Dooars in the Eastern Himalayan terai planes since the afternoon. After the sun set, there started the lightning inside the clouds however, from my vantage point, the weather was so clear that I could see the hills, the Dooars and the milky way up above in the sky. I Photographed the phenomenon with wide open aperture and a long exposure to capture both the lightning in the clouds and the milky way.
