A little about this image...This is the beginning of the initiation of boys into the village's spirit house, starting with the initiated men dancing until the next morning, helped along by chewing betel nut. There are two female dancers in the foreground as well. The village is quite remote: a two hour hike through the jungle after a dugout trip up the Sepik River.
