GinnyA little about me...
We adopted Monk despite his pre-existing pelvis and rear leg injury, because he captured our hearts as soon as we met! His spirit is amazing and has brought so much life to our home. He loves to basque in the sun, explore everything, snuggle, irritate his “sister”, and entertain everyone.
Monk joined our family from AWLA in March 2021. We’re not sure what happened to him before he ended up in a shelter in FL prior to his transfer to AWLA, but suspect he suffered a traumatic injury, possibly hit by a car. He had multiple fractures to his pelvis and he doesn’t have full use of one of his rear legs. Even though he’s been through so much, he is full of spunk and spirit. We have been working with our primary vet and other veterinary pros (consults with orthopedic surgeon and neurologist) to figure out the best path forward for his comfort and mobility today and in his future. He is such a happy and loving little guy full of life and excitement every day!
If your animal is from a specific animal shelter/rescue organization, please list the organization so we can give them special mention in our calendar.
