Christmas—The Horse That Saved Me: I adopted Christmas in February of 2023, after falling in love with her through my volunteer work at CVHR. Prior to my work at CVHR, I experienced a traumatic injury, and my husband encouraged me to get back into my first love, horses. Christmas gave me hope, patience, and love. She has saved me as much, if not more, than I have saved her. We are coming back together, defying the odds, and learning to trust each other despite our trauma. She is truly amazing and I can’t wait for the rest of our lives together ❤️!
