Enter your favourite photo of yourself with your pet to win one of 12 coveted spots in the 2018 Canadian Federation of Humane Societies Pet Pals Calendar (12 month calendar: Jan 2018-Dec 2018). You can dress up to look like your pet, but
photos of pets in costumes will not be accepted This contest is open to any Canadian over the age of 18. You may enter one or more animals into this contest. We encourage you to share your entry and encourage others to vote, vote, vote!
Note that this contest is geared towards Canadian entrants and voters. In the past there have been issues processing USD donations. We apologize for this limitation, but we are unable to correct it.
Entrants must be residents of Canada.
Contest Entry
You must submit a photo of your animal(s) and include:
- Name of animal
- Your name
- Your email
- Your city and province
- A paragraph that tells voters about your relationship with your animal
Digital photos are recommended. Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution
300 dpi or higher in TIFF or JPG format — and no greater than 5MB. Photos must be in landscape orientation (not Portrait). Sorry, we cannot accept hard copies or photos of hard copies. All submitted photos will be shared on CFHS' Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts! All entries must be the original work of the entrant. You must own the copyright to the photograph. All entries must be of an animal in your care
Participants and voters will be entitled to a tax receipt for donations totaling $20 or more before fees. Example: if you donate $20, you will receive a tax receipt for $16.45. Contest & Voting Fees
There is a $5 entry fee for each photo/pet entered.
The submissions period starts on June 1
st, 2017 at 8:00AM ET and ends on October 4th, 2017 at 11:00 PM ET.
The voting period starts on June 1
st, 2017 at 8:00AM EST and ends on October 4th, 2017 at 11:00PM EST.
Each $1 donation counts as one (1) vote. We encourage you to email the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your favourite contestant's photo. Votes may be cast during the voting period only. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
