Wally is a our 6 year old, chocolate dapple, short haired miniature dachshund. I got Wally on my 21st birthday and was instantly in love. We was my first baby and very own best friend. He has always been so silly and sweet. Two years ago, just a little over a month after Wally turned 4 years old, he developed Sudden Acquired Retinal Degeneration Syndrome or SARDS. He gained a significant amount of weight and went blind with no obvious cause or reason. Since then Wally has had a slew of medical concerns including multiple food allergies, IBS and a skin condition. His favorite things are eating, new toys, playing with his (dachshund) sister, Stella, and snuggling with his (baby) sister, Merritt! Despite it all, Wally is always full of life and is an example of nothing less than pure joy! Wally doesn't let anything stand in his way!!
