After the loss of one of my older Dachshunds, I finally decided to adopt another one and went to Chapman's Dachshund Rescue. Hank was adopted in August 2013 and came home to live with his new sibling Scarlett. They immediately bonded and became best friends even though Hank was a young puppy and full of energy and Scarlett a little more mature and sedate. Hank is the most loyal little fella a Mom could ask for and is always by my side or in my lap and Scarlett always joins in on lap time. I love coming home to sweet kisses and high pitched barks because I know that they are so happy to see me. They also know that a treat from the treat jar is coming too! Maybe that's why they are so happy to see me......nah it's cause they love me and know I love them.
