Sambeau is our only rescue dachshund out of 3 dogs! We were told he was in 3 shelters before we found him! He came from Manteo, NC SPCA. From day one, he has added so much love, joy and laughter to our home! He is gentle and patient! He ADORES the water! Especially the ocean! He has a YouTube video.. "Sambeau the body surfing dachshund!" where he shows we have to leash him while in the ocean to keep him from swimming too far out! He loves the rain too! His personality is so delightful! We went on vacation and left him in our home with a dog sitter. When we returned, as I was unpacking he jumped in our suitcase and would not get out, as if he never wanted us to leave without him again! He now sleeps every night in the suitcase!
