We have three Doxies in our family and each one is special in their own way. Harley, our male black and tan dapple, was adopted from a local rescue after being surrendered by a breeder when he was 2 years old. He had never known life outside of a cage and was terrified of people. With patience, time and lots of love, Harley has blossomed into a wonderful loving dog. Sadie, our brindle wire-haired female, was adopted from Chapman's Dachshund Rescue 2 years ago. She was so sweet and outgoing. I immediately fell in love with her and had to take her home. Lexie, our shaded cream female, is the princess of our trio and of course, quite the attention hog. She loves everyone, including our 2 cats. The cats don't seem to appreciate her constant kisses though. My motto is "Doxies are like chocolates. You can't have just one!"
