I have had Nixie since she was 6 six weeks old. She is now 11. She was my first Dachshund and stole my heart. I'd like to say that Nixie needed a companion, but really I needed another one. So it was that Penny joined the family in 2010. But as the years passed, my heart still had room for another. So on Feb 27, 2016. Tasha came to me from Chapman's Dachshund Rescue. She was a breeder dog who was very shy and submissive. She immediately became attached to her "mom" wanting to be held all the time. Each day I see her little personality blooming more and more as she realizes she is loved and a part of the pack. There is no doubt that she has attached herself to my heart in a very special way.
