I didn’t want a dachshund. I didn’t want a boy. So what did I end up with? A boy dachshund of course! It was my last day in Charlotte. I spent most of my day watching a video Gina posted on her Facebook page. I played it over and over again trying to convince myself I didn’t need you, but the more I watched the more I fell in love with your bunny rabbit ears and cute little mannerisms. I had to come down to Chapman’s and meet you. It was a cold, dark November night. I remember seeing you for the first time. As I picked you up from the cold floor, you were shaking and whimpering. I cried. You cried. I knew right then and there I could not leave you. You needed me. What I didn’t realize that night is that I needed you more.
