A little about me...Gus was my first and last foster fail! I came to the shelter looking to help with their kitten fosters. When I got there they had already assigned all the kittens-yay! The attendant at the desk informed me that they were in desperate need of puppy fosters. I said sure and within 10 minutes Thomas (now,Gus) was brought to me in a carrier. As soon as we got to the car I opened the door to try and help calm him. He immediately crawled all the way up under my chin and nestled his nose the entire way home! I took him to meet my husband at work. From that moment on we were pretty convinced this little one was special! We ended up having him as a foster for about three months. He ended up getting sick and needed to recover from that before being neutered. That’s when we would finally get to adopt him! It took months of desperately wanting to adopt Gus and make him an official Bailey, but we finally did on July 8, 2019! He came to us right after a traumatic experience in our family and saved us. He has brought so much joy to our life! He is raised by three cats at home and loves every second of it!
