A little about me...
For nearly 15 years Murphy (@murphymcnugget), has been making his mark on the nation's capital. His slow but steady trot and ever present smile make him a friend to all he meets (especially those who have food!). His DC adventures have included meeting two supreme court justices and a sitting US president. But much to his dismay, still no RBG run-ins (but at least we have this cool mural of her in our neighborhood).

Murphy considered running for President in 2020 on a platform of: 1) homes for all dogs and cats (hey, cats vote too!); 2) extra funding for treats; and 3) a minimum belly rub per day requirement. However, even with the particularly mature slate of POTUS candidates this year, he worried that his age of 101.5 human years could be an issue in getting elected so he has decided to continue to advocate for animals by raising money through this contest.

Murphy was adopted from CASPCA in March 2006. He and 13 of his litter mates -- f.k.a. the "Puppy Poet Society" -- were abandoned at an extremely young age and the CASPCA was able to save 9 of them and we are SO grateful that they did!
