Calico Jack is a dachshund/mini aussie. He is also a double dapple also known as double merle in other breeds. It means both his parents were dapple/merle. It can cause genetic defects with sight and hearing. Jack is mostly deaf. He can only see lights and shadows from his right eye. His left eye has a starburst pupil so his pupil can't close as much as a normal pupil. Despite these issues he is such an amazing pup. He loves to play fetch and keeps up with our other dog who doesn't have issues. He's so sweet and gentle, everyone who meets him falls in love. He has taught us so much and he's such a blessing in our life.
