Tell us a little something about your dog (what they mean to you, your favorite thing about them, what they have taught you, or their rescue story)
Owen is my seven-year-old miniature dachshund, but to me, he’s so much more than a pet—he’s my greatest support. After long, stressful shifts as a nurse, Owen is always there to ease my anxiety and remind me I’m not alone. When my mom was sick and eventually passed away last year, Owen never left our sides. He curled up next to her, bringing her comfort, and has been by my side ever since.

Owen’s personality is full of love and quirks. He’s famous for burrowing into the blankets until he’s just a little nose peeking out, and he loves to “sploot” with his back legs stretched out behind him. He’ll do anything for a carrot, even sitting straight up on his long body like a little circus dog. And while his legs may be short, he adores hiking and struts around like he’s a Doberman at heart.
