Tell us a little something about your dog (what they mean to you, your favorite thing about them, what they have taught you, or their rescue story)
Scout is my mini dachshund, named after the brave and curious Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird. He became part of my life at a time when I needed him most, during the pandemic, when I had to leave New York City and return to North Carolina. What could have been a lonely and uncertain season was transformed by his joyful spirit.

Scout lives on Finch Farm, where he keeps watch like the little guardian of my heart. He is small but mighty, with a personality bigger than the acres he roams. My favorite thing about Scout is the way he reminds me daily that happiness can be as simple as a walk in the sunshine or a cozy moment together at the end of the day. He is my bestest friend.
