Pet's Story
WHO gets the best kitties? Why, your CCHS gets only the best kitties, of course. My Gang of Eight were all kitten CCHS fosters over the past 10 years, here at the Dewittville Mouse Ranch. Three were distemper survivors who recovered completely after many months, three were total ferals I trapped at a neighbor's, one was a litter runt I thought would be half-blind but is not, and the oldest has caught 83 mouses in this antique farmhouse so far, but is mostly retired. These wonderful kitties behave like dogs in some ways. It's in how you raise them. Lots of play and love. They are inside kitties except for leash walks on the property here. From the left: Tuffy, Jimmy, Missy, Pookie, Little Buster, Binkey, Inkey, and Biggie Boy Bunkins (he's a double polydactyl with the biggest perfect paws I've ever seen).
