My husband and I rescued Sunny from her owners last month when she was 5 months old. Her owners neglected her emotionally and medically. They said they sat on her by accident and she was being dramatic about her back leg. The night we met her, we knew she was not going back with them. She was shaking and whimpering as they handed her to me and she clung onto my shirt and was not letting go. We found out that she had two fractures in her back leg and she needed to be seen by UC Davis. Fast forward to today, she is thriving in our home with her feline sister, Daylight. Sunny loves to wake us up with morning cuddles and chew toys. She spends most of her days laying on the grass in the sun chewing on sticks while her leg is healing.
