The Children’s museum offers more than 50 interactive exhibits and activities and programs for all ages throughout the year and serves an average of 16,000 visitors per year. The Children’s Museum’s offers dynamic, informal learning opportunities for youth through year-round interactive exhibits, programing, and outreach.
Using best practices, the museum acts as a model for encouraging the exploration of the sciences, arts, and humanities. Through partnerships with regional schools and community-based organizations, we strive to be responsive to community needs and to encourage the development of strong and healthy families.
Some of the Museum’s most recent accomplishments are our new exhibit “Pennsylvania Indians: We Travel Their Paths,” our increased STEM programs and our “Let’s Move” Initiative promoting healthy habits.

The mission of The Children's Museum is to enrich the lives of people in the region by fostering a lifelong love of learning through enjoyable interactive programs and exhibits that bring out the imagination in every child and the child in every visitor.

- To provide hands-on educational experiences to children of all ages
