The week I was packing my bags to relocate to the Alexandria area last summer, Max was found in the engine of someone's car who happened to pull over into my driveway. I heard the woman in hysterics at the same time I heard loud screams coming from an animal. I ran outside and saw a kitten the size of my hand being pulled from under her hood. It was a sign that Max was meant to come on this journey with me. He had a broken bone and a tear in his shoulder but nothing that some love couldn't fix. Max grew into a beautiful Maine Coon and has become the best road trip companion!
