Your Pet's Story or Bio
Bernie was a homing pigeon that wasn't very good at that. He hung around our house for 2-3 weeks and eventually we put out bird food for him as someone told us he probably didn't know how to get his own food. Toward the end of his stay in our back yard hanging out on the roof, in the trees and walking in the yard he became obviously sick. We found him with his head hung down to the ground so we put him in a kennel and took him to a vet who discovered an infection and treated him. They helped us turn him over to "The Wildlife Rescue League of Falls Church". No one was ever able to trace him with that tag on his leg - so sad.
