Niffler was dropped off with three other Tegu lizards at the AWLA, who worked with their amazing partners to learn about these reptiles and find them all appropriate homes with owners who understand their needs. In his new home, Niffler is enjoying the good life, where he gets fresh fruit, like papaya, mango, and bananas, but his absolute favorite treat is fresh fish. Because of his size, Niffler has a 180-gallon aquarium (it’s as big as a person!) where his favorite activity is re-arranging his tank: he loves to move around his wood chips to make secret hiding spots. His owners have plans for a bigger enclosure soon, and he also sometimes roams around the house where he lives somewhat indifferently with several cats and a dog.
