Your Pet's Story from his/her perspective
Hi, I’m Angelo! Animal rescuers found me in a box on a beach in Rincon, Puerto Rico. They took great care of me at the vet, then flew me to a foster home in Virginia, USA. One day a special lady came to meet me. When she held me in her arms, I knew she was my forever mom and she took me home. That was the best day of my life!

Before mom found me, she'd been sad because she lost someone very special. When she found me she knew I was an angel from heaven. So she named me Angelo, which means "divine messenger" or "angel". Mom calls me a playful goofball who loves giving hugs and kisses, playing with my cat siblings, stealing mom's PJs, getting the zoomies, and going anywhere with mom! I'm a sensitive boy and sometimes get a little scared because of my rough puppyhood, but I get more confident every day. I love going on walks and car rides. One of my favorite road trips was mom and me moving across the country from the east coast to Colorado.

I may look a little different because I'm bald with a snaggletooth underbite, and don't have a lot of body hair, but mom says it was love at first sight and I’m perfect. People often ask, what kind of dog am I? Mom says I'm an exotic mix because I was born on a cool Caribbean island. Makes sense to me!

We loved learning about Colorado Pet Pantry and how they keep pets fed and at home with their families. We think that’s awesome and want to help as many needy pet families as we can. I don't want any pet family to struggle for pet food. I know a little about struggling because long ago I lived in a box on a beach, on an island far, far away. Angels rescued me and the rest is history!
