Your Pet's Story from his/her perspective
Hi I’m Speedy! I’m a Russian Tortoise adopted by my family in July 2015. My favorite food is dandelions and I am often found basking in the sun on warm days out on our porch. I love to roam the house and take naps in quiet corners (mom has to hunt for me sometimes). I share our Hillier Zoo with 5 felines and 2 guinea pigs. The kitties are curious about me but mainly get out of my way. I’m the first reptile my mom has owned and she did tons of research to learn how to best care for me! If I’m not eating seasonal dandelions, I prefer fresh green lettuce and radicchio. I’m very social and like meeting new humans. I will sit on mom’s lap and enjoy pets on my shell. We aren’t sure how old I am but mom thinks at least 25yrs and I can live to be 80!
