Your Pet's Story from his/her perspectiveMy name is Bella and how I arrived in Colorado is a dream come true. I was living in Butler PA and brought in to the shelter in April, 2025 with Lyme's disease, dragging my back legs. I was permanently paralyzed from IVDD and wasn't taken care of. The rescue got a call from Kiki in Colorado and learned about her Watson the Super Puggle who was also paralyzed and had passed away last summer. She does special needs rescue and foster and wanted me! Everyone tried to get me on a plane but I was too long. So the shelter raised $5300 in 3 days and 3 pilots flew me in a small jet the Fourth of July weekend. I arrived in my custom stroller with my wheelchair and am doing nonprofit work, reading to children in school and a greeter at church. I have a senior fan club there and dress up for them. I have a big family of rescues and fosters and am training to get my therapy dog certification to go to nursing homes and schools. I swim 18 laps in water therapy every week to get stronger for my wheels and have a greet trainer, Kate. I am the happiest girl and always ready to GO, GO, GO. I bring joy to all I meet. I love my Mom and she takes such good care of me. We love Colorado Pet Pantry and am very excited.
