Your Pet's Story from his/her perspective
Hey, I’m Luna. If you look at the pack, I might not always be the loudest, but trust me, I’m the heart of this operation.
My story starts like any good dog’s does: looking for a place where I truly belonged. Before I came here, the world was a much bigger, more confusing place. I didn't know what it felt like to have a guaranteed spot on a warm floor, or a person who looked at me like I was the best thing that ever happened to them.
But then, the door opened to my real life.
The day I was brought into this family, everything changed. I went from being just another dog to being *Luna*—a core member of a proper, chaotic, loving pack. I quickly realized I wasn't going to be an only child. I share my kingdom with Mulligan, Cassiopeia, Gracie, and Mackoy. Five of us. Yeah, it’s a lot of paws, a lot of fur, and a lot of competing for the prime real estate on the floor, but it’s home.
In a pack that big, you have to find your role. Mulligan might have his thing, and the others definitely have theirs, but my specialty? Pure, unadulterated loyalty. I’m the observer. I watch the back door, I keep tabs on the kitchen activity, and I make sure the Big Guy—our human—never feels lonely for even a second.
My favorite part of the day is always the same. It’s that exact moment the energy shifts, the grill gets fired up outside, and the smell of seasoned meat starts drifting through the air. That’s when the five of us form a strict, silent, highly disciplined semi-circle. We call it "the cooking tax." We know we aren't supposed to beg, but with five pairs of eyes locking in, someone usually slips a little piece of something delicious our way. (I like to think I get the best pieces because I have the most convincing "I'm starving" face).
Life here is loud, it's full of energy, and there is never a dull moment. Whether we're all piled up resting after a wild day, or barking in unison because a blade of grass moved outside, I just look around at Mulligan, Cassi, Gracie, Mackoy, and our human, and I know I hit the jackpot.
I’m Luna, and my life is pretty darn good.
