Rules

Enter a Photo of your Cutest Covid Comfort Pet with a required $10 donation per photo. You may enter as many photos as you choose. All photos will appear online, where the public can vote for their favorite photos. Photos can be of ANY kind of animal from ANYWHERE in the country.

Simultaneous submissions and voting periods begin on June 5th at 9am CT and end August 15th at 9pm CT. Online voting begins as soon as the photo is registered and ends August 15th 9pm CT.

To submit photos, click on the Participate tab above and follow the directions to upload a photograph of your Covid Comfort Pet. Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast or sharpness adjustments).

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery.

Votes are $1 each and are donations to Community Grief Support. When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank" of votes for the amount of your donation (ex. $5 donation equals 5 votes) that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries. Each donation has a required $5 minimum. You can vote as many times as you'd like. Vote early, vote often, and insist your friends and family vote as well!

All votes are donations to Community Grief Support and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt. Mailed paper receipts can be requested by emailing communitygriefsu@bellsouth.net.

All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed, in real time, online. The pet with the most votes by the end of the contest will win CGS's Cutest Covid Comfort Pet! The pet with the most votes receives 1st place, the pet with the second highest amount of votes will receive 2nd place and the third highest voted pet will receive 3rd place. Prizes can be collected, dropped off or mailed from our office.

Proceeds from Cutest Covid Comfort Pet Contest will be used to continue enhancing the lives of the bereaved in the Birmingham area through free grief counseling, support groups and community education.
