Pet BioCoco's mom was a feral cat that we captured at the end of a long trapping day, intending to take her and the others we'd trapped to a Humane Society spay/neuter clinic the following week. Within 24 hours of trapping, however, Momma Cat gave birth to five kittens, including Coco, and the whole gang lived on our enclosed front porch for eight weeks before going to the Waterford Humane Society for placement in loving homes as fully domesticated cats. We were elated to break the feral cycle for Coco and her litter mates, and grateful to be able to give Coco a home. Even today Coco loves going back out onto the front porch to play - sometimes still cozying up to footwear she finds in her pathway!
Fun FactsCoco's litter had three females and two males. (Coco, Phantom, Stripe, Felix, and Blackie) They loved playing together, and with toys, and had great fun climbing in and out of boxes.
Coco's dad is an orange and white feral who went back to the colony after neutering. He was about two years old when trapped, according to the Humane Society. He is still an active and social member of the colony.
Momma Cat was about six years old, according to the Humane Society, and after being spayed she also went back to live out her life in the feral colony. Sadly, she disappeared about seven months after returning to the colony
Favorite HobbiesCoco loves running after and pouncing on hard catnip treats as they are tossed across the hardwood floor.
Coco also loves drinking from the faucet. In fact, every morning the first thing she does is run to the sink for a drink!
