Pet Bio
We adopted Hal at 5 months from friend who rescued him. He made our house a home for 12 years. Cross of Chihuahua/ Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Acted like a Golden. Great at playing, sniffing out dangers, cuddling, teaching other dogs to chill, could turn on a dime when running, lol, so giving of his love to all. We were so blessed with his life & joy of it. This pic is special because snow was one of his favorite things. He loved digging & hiding some kibble/snack, in order to find it later, & be so proud of himself. Funny when he played with a toy: he would look away as if he's not paying attention, to make it more difficult for him to find where we put it under his blanket, & he would all of a sudden run at it, to suss it out. So proud!

Fun Facts
Called him Inspector Hal, because from first walk onward, he always had his nose to the ground. Also at Rocky Neck, he and our neighbor's dog , Teddy, stopped walking because they knew there was a danger. As we turned around to go back, that's what my sister and I saw the coyote. Another time he's spotted a Fisher in the tree next door. And he was always going off trail and pointing us to pieces of bones. Great tracking dog for a little chihuahua. He also found new hatchling turtles for us that were headed toward the road, so that we could lead them back to the pond. He went up to them gently and didn't even bark. Just looked from the turtles to us. He also pointed out a newt to us in our yard. Always so gentle and caring about all creatures. That was our Inspector Hal!

Favorite Hobbies
Walkies, running, sniffing everything, playing with us with his toys, or playing by himself which he was terrific with, he would throw his ball / toys in the air, run to catch them, look at us for approval all the time, LOL, excellent at guarding the house from inside, loved his bench seat in the living room window where he could stay abreast of neighborhood goings on, loved going on explore walks with us to new places all the time to sniff out new things. Loved laying on his back in his bed. His little kickies after marking something were the best because they were so exaggerated, leaving one leg out for a LONG time, stretching it, shaking it, then doing the other. All the time with this cute look on his face! We had to buffer our giggles, and tell him"Good job" for everything he did! Too cute!
