Gracie the Shih Tzu is small but supreme,
A fluffy, four-legged, tail-wagging dream.
She’s sweet and she’s sassy, a boss in disguise,
With bedhead and attitude, plus soulful brown eyes.

She struts into work like she owns the whole place,
Making humans light up at the sight of her face.
She won’t sit, won’t stay, won’t pose for a pic—
She’s got things to sniff and opinions to pick.

She’s stubborn, she’s snuggly, she naps like a queen,
And barks when the world doesn’t meet her routine.
She won't crack a smile, but don't be misled—
Her love is loud, though her face looks unfed.

She reminds me each day to slow down, be still,
To walk, sniff the flowers, and follow my will.

(1) Start the day with a good stretch and a dramatic yawn.
(2) Assume everyone loves you—you're probably right.
(3) Rest is productive. Naps are sacred.
(4) Don’t chase the ball. Make them bring it back to you.
(5) When you're done with something, walk away—no explanation needed.
(6) Greet your people like they’ve been gone forever (even if it’s 5 minutes).
(7) If someone doesn't like you, that’s their problem.
(8) Make eye contact. Then look away. Then stare again. It’s an art.
(9) Love boldly—but also set boundaries.
(10) Claim your space. Especially the warmest spot on the couch.
(11) Lick the ones you love. Preferably after licking something questionable.
(12) Be present. Be persistent. Be adorable.
(13) Make them earn your affection-but give it freely once they do.

My Hobbies (by Gracie)
(1) I chase the ball or stick… then lie down and admire my work.
(2) I make strangers smile just by existing. You’re welcome.
(3) Eating & Staring at you when you eat.
(4) I do zoomies when the mood strikes. It’s performance art.
(5) After a bath, I roll like a wild beast to smell like me again.
(6) Before a bath? I run like I’ve seen a ghost.
(7) Staying put when being called.
(8) If a toy is ignored, I ignore it. If someone wants it—I need it.
(9) I nap often and with great flair. Bonus points if it’s on your clothes.
(10) I lick feet, faces, elbows… I don’t discriminate.
(11) I bark at nothing just to keep everyone on alert.

(13) Above all, I’m cute. It’s a full-time job, and I’m great at it.
