Tama was one-day away from being put to death in New Mexico, at a kill shelter near Roswell. Saved by a member of Above&Beyond English Setter Rescue, Tom Gramzow, just in the nick-of-time. He then drove her all the way to NYC by car, so that no further harm would come to her after he helped rehabilitated her, as she was greatly abused. Would take NO money for gas, or other. My other Llewelyn, Sintra (a saint), had just died of cancer and Tom knew that Tama was adopted in her spirit and would be in loving hands. Tama has come SUCH A LONG WAY and through deep unconditional love and miles of affection and patience has turned into more than a wondrous girl, beyond belief. I tease her that the aliens got her in Roswell, but now she is going to be loved furever and protected the rest of her life. Tama deserves being a "Cover Star" and so very much more! Her picture shows her off with a bit of tangled hair, since she loves the Washington Square Park nearby and can get as messy as she wants! I am endlessly thankful to Tom and to Above & Beyond. Also, Tama has a pet cat named Chaz the Cat, whom she adores!
