Share your setter’s story and why he/she should be our next Cover Star!
Grady came to us while we were living in Vermont from San Antonio, Texas. It was one of the longest volunteer transports Above & Beyond had done to date, and we remain ever grateful for the kindly individuals who helped bring him to us. He was our first field-type setter and was an incredible addition to our family. We don't know his full history, and have to manage a his IBD closely, but he is such a joy.

We've since moved to the desert southwest and he's enjoying the wide open landscape, abundant sunshine and many trails to explore. When he has the opportunity to run off leash in some protected space, his sleekness and pure athleticism is a marvel to behold.

We've come a long way in building our bonds with him and he's come a long way in adopting us as his family as well. When out and about, the world still closes in and any squirrels, deer, or elk still outcompete us for his attention, but we're increasing in stature in his eyes a little bit everyday.

Grady now has a Gordon Setter and an Irish Setter as housemates but he remains the big brother with strict boundaries on his space. When it's time to chase, he's still the undisputed champ and has made one big paw print of an impression on our lives. Good Boy, Grady Boy!
