Pet's Story or Bio
After our dog Bama passed away, I decided to volunteer for the Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue. This was around the timing of March Madness. I went to the rescue to help and maybe when I was ready adopt a puppy. I walked and bathed several dogs...well about 5 steps into my walk with Boomer (aka Jackson) I knew, he was the one. His eyes filled a hole in my heart. Boomer has settled in so well on the farm and in our home. He has two other dogs to play with and three children that just adore him. He has already saved the chickens from a hawk attack. Our dog Bama was a therapy dog and did a lot of good work at local hospitals. Boomer has started training to become a therapy dog, he is doing so well. This picture was taken in the Outer Banks, our family goes every year and the dogs always come. This was Boomers first beach trip and he had a blast, dug several holes and sat under an umbrella watching the kids play. We are so grateful for the Appalachian Great Pyrenees Rescue, they are wonderful people, hard workers and are always willing to answer questions.
