Your Pet's Story or Bio
We adopted Hercules from AWLA in 2010 when he was 9 months old. In the past 9 years, he helped mom train for a marathon, hiked and camped across Virginia and West Virginia with dad, and developed a healthy obsession with cucumbers. He also moved to Central West Africa, where he met his brother, Perseus (in the background), a street dog born near the U.S. Embassy. Hercules and Perseus eventually journeyed back to Arlington together, where they were inseparable in their pursuit of squirrels, belly rubs, and naps in the sun. Hercules recently passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer, and we are thankful every day for AWLA introducing him to our family.
