Please include your age, tumor type and date of diagnosis (patients & survivors only) and let us know how art has impacted your life.Elena George is a 12 year old in Dayton Ohio, finishing a lonely year of online 7th grade. Her initial diagnosis was in 2014 at the age of six, when she lost her sight unexpectedly due to a craniopharyngioma. Surgery restored her vision and removed most of the tumor, but it returned in 2016. With her family, Elena came to Philadelphia in order to get proton radiation treatment, and there she fell in love with the city's vibrant art scene. She has been creating ever since. She started working with watercolors when the initial Covid-19 lockdown began, watching YouTube tutorials.
