Luna que linda

Pet’s Story or Bio
It was by chance that we found Luna. It was a terribly stormy day but we ventured to a little hidden beach we had been to earlier in the week just for an adventure. I thought I was seeing things when this tiny terrified puppy came out from some brush. I sat on the ground and she ran to me literally screaming, I had never heard a sound so heartbreaking. She jumped on me and licked me like she had been waiting for us all her life. My daughters and I waited and walked around by the road looking for someone who had maybe been with her. No one ever came. We fed her and pulled tiny ticks from her, many from in between her paws. We knew we could not leave without her. Luna flew home with us and loved life in New England. Sadly, Luna became seriously ill. Everything was done to cure her but she was too frail... The amount of love she gave and received in that short period of time will last a lifetime in our memories. I think of how fate had led us to the beach on such a non-beach day. I think of how she would have suffered alone. I think of the satos who are not as lucky. Mostly, I think of the day when animals are no longer abandoned, abused and forgotten. I hope to live to see that day. Buenas noches Luna, amarás para siempre en nuestro corazón. <3
