Bear is a very sweet, mellow, and gentle giant, with a sometimes frisky side. He is 11 years old, and was rescued along with his brother, Cowboy, from a dumpster. He has suffered DKA and neuropathy from his diabetes, but since bringing it under control, both conditions have resolved. Bear and Cowboy live with their four other kitty "siblings," all rescued. Bear continues to do well with insulin and prescription diet, and he is proof that diabetic cats can live very happy and fun-filled lives!
